Ayam Belawar
Sumbanese roasted chicken with coconut

1 heavy chicken
1 tsp white pepper
salt to taste
1.5 tsp asem (tamarinde)
50 ml of water
100 gr freshly grated coconut

1/2 tsp ketumbar (coriander)
1/2 tsp jinten (cumin)
6 shallots
7 cloves garlic
13 rawits (birds eye chillies)

Cara membuat:
Cut the chicken into pieces and rub the pieces with salt and pepper to taste. Roast the pieces over a charcoal fire half cooked. Dry roast the ketumbar and jinten. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste. Then mix the water with the asem and mix it with the bumbu, the grated coconut and salt.
Marinate the chicken pieces with the newly formed mixture for 30 minutes and then roast the chicken pieces over the charcoal fire brown and done.
