Gulai Ayam Padang
Padang chicken curry

1 chicken
750 ml of water
200 ml coconut milk
3 sereh / lemon grass
7 jeruk purut
6 cloves
3 kardemon
6 cm cinnamon
1/2 star anise
50 g of palm sugar
1 1/2 tsp asam / tamarind
2 tbsp oil

9 shallots
4 cloves of garlic
9 red lomboks
5 kemiri nuts
2 tsp ketumbar
1/2 tsp jinten
2 teaspoon salt
7 cm laos
3 cm jahe
5 cm kunyit

Cara Membuat:
Cut the chicken into 8 pieces. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste.
Heat in a pan the oil and fry the bumbu with the sereh, the jeruk purut, the cloves, the cardamon, the cinnamon and the star anise for 5 minutes.
Then add the chicken, the palm sugar and the asam and fry the chicken brown and no longer pink. Add the water and bring to the boil boil. Then simmer for 30 minutes. Add the coconut milk and simmer for another 15 minutes. Serve.
