Semur Ayam Kentang
stew of chicken with potato

1/2 chicken
2 potatoes
7 shallots
2 salam leaf
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 cloves
2 cm of cinnamon
7 tbsp kecap manis
2 tsp salt
2 tsp palm sugar
1800 ml of water
2 tbsp oil

2 tbsp bawang goreng

6 kemiri/candlenuts, roasted
5 shallots
4 cloves of garlic
1 tsp ketumbar
1/2 tsp jinten/cumin

Cara membuat:
Cut the chicken into 8 pieces, the potatoes into cubes and the shallots into thin slices. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste.
Heat the oil in a pan and fry the bumbu together with the shallots and the salam for 7 minutes. Then add the chicken and the potatoes and fry until the chicken changes colour.
Then add the nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, kecap, salt and palm sugar and mix well. Add the water while stirring and cook gently until done and the sauce thickens. Sprinkle the bawang goreng on top and serve.
