Ayam masak santan berempah
spiced chicken stewed in coconut milk

1 chicken
3 star anise
1 lemongrass
5 jeruk purut
3 tsp salt
1/2 tsp palm sugar
600 ml santen cair
1 tablespoons oil
8 shallots
3 cloves garlic
3 red chilies
1 tomato
Cara membuat:
Cut the chicken into 12 pieces. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu fine into a paste. Heat in a pan the oil and fry the paste, the lemon grass, star anise and jeruk purut for 3 minutes. Add the chicken and cook until browned. Then add the salt, pepper and palm sugar. Slowly pour in the coconut milk and stir until the sauce has thickened and the chicken is cooked.
