Wu Xiang Fen - 五香粉
five spice powder
Ingredients:
10 gr star anise
10 gr fennel seed
5 gr Sichuan pepper
5 g Chinese/cassia cinnamon (otherwise 2 1/2 g regular cinnamon)
2 g cloves
optional:
2 g white pepper
Preparation:
Break the star anise into pieces. Remove the black seeds from the Sichuan pepper. Break the cinnamon into pieces. Place everything in a pan and toast over low/medium heat. When the fennel seed starts to darken, remove from the heat and let it cool.
Then grind or grind the ingredients into a powder. Then sieve the powder.
