fried clams with basil

750 gr clams
8 cloves garlic
7 red rawits
2 tbsp prik pa (see recipe)
2 tsp kecap asin
125 ml chicken stock
1 bunch thais basil
5 tbsp oil

Chop the garlic fine and slice the rawits lengthwise. Clean the clams. Heat in a wok the oil and add the clams and the garlic. Fry the clams unti they open up. Add the rawits, the prik pao, the kecap and the chicken stock and let it simmer slowly. Add the basil and serve.
