Nuaa Paad Prig
fried beef with peppers
Ingredients:
500 gr beef
1/2 tsp salt
black pepper tot taste
3 dried black mushrooms
1 red onion
2 cloves garlic
4 red lomboks (large chilies)
100 ml beef stock
2 tbsp kecap asin (light soy sauce)
2 tsp oystersaus
2 tsp rice wine
4 tbsp oil
Preperation/method:
Cut the meat into slices and rub it in with the salt and the pepper. Soak the mushroom in warm water for at least 30 minutes and halve them. Remove the hard stem. Slic hte onion and the garlic fine and halve the lomboks.
Heat in a wok the oil and fry the onion and the garlic for 3 minutes. Then add the meat and the lomboks and fry it for 2 minutes. Add the stock and then the mushrooms, the kecap, the oystersauce and the rice wine and let it simmer slowly until the meat has cooked.
