Semur Tahu Kuah Udang
fried tahu with shrimp in dark sauce

500 g tahu/tofu
600 gr large shrimp/prawns
2 salam leaves
2 serai / sereh / lemongrass
2 cm jahe
2 tbsp kecap manis
1 tsp salt
1 tsp palm sugar
1 tomato
150 ml of water

7 shallots
4 cloves of garlic
3 kemiri nuts, roasted
1/2 tsp ketumbar, roasted

Cara membuat:
Clean the shrimp and remove the head and slice the back in. Dice the tomato. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste. Dice the tahu. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the tahu until golden brown and set aside.
Heat in a pan 2 tbsp oil and fry the bumbu together with the salam, the serai and the jahe for 5 minutes. Then add the shrimp and fry until they change colour.
Then add the kecap, the salt, the palm sugar and the tomato and mix everything well. Then add the water and cook over low heat until it is done and until the sauce thickens. Serve.
