Botok Tempe
steamed spicy tempe

300 gr tempe
150 gr of grated coconut
50 gr udang rebon (dried shrimps)
75 gr peteh / stink beans
10 red rawits
150 gr chicken stock (see recipe)
banana leaf

1 tsp ketumbar
4 cloves of garlic
3 shallots
2 cm laos / galangal
1 tsp salt

Cara Membuat:
Steam the tempe first for 15 minutes and then mash it coarsly. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste. Soak the rebon in water and then drain. Mix the bumbu with the tempe and the coconut. Then mix in the rebon, the peteh and the rawits and add the broth. Divide the mass into 18 portions and wrap each portion in banana leaf and fold it as a package. Steam the packages for 30 minutes until done.
