Gulai Pakis
stewed fern tips from Bali

3 bunches pakis / fern tips
1000 ml coconut milk
50 g ikan asin / anchovies
1 kunyit
1 sprig of basil
2 stalks lemongrass
3 jeruk purut
3 red chilies
3 pitted red chilies
5 shallots
3 cloves garlic
2 red rawits
2cm kunyit
1 cm ginger
2 cm laos
2 tsp salt
Cara membuat:
Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu fine into a paste. Heat the coconut milk in a pan together with the paste, the kunyit leaf, basil, lemongrass and jeruk purut and bring to a boil. Add the pakis and anchovies and cook until done and the sauce is thick.
