pickled beans

450 gr string/snake beans
3 cengkeh (cloves)
4 black peppercorns
1/2 tsp sambal ulek (see recipe)
125 ml water
1 tbsp palmsugar
2 tsp salt
125 ml vinegar

Cara membuat:
Clean the beans and put them upright in a jar. Add the cloves, the sambal and the peppercorns. Heat in a pan the water and add the palmsugar, the salt and the vinegar and let it simmer for 10 minutes and pour it over the beans. Close the jar and let it stand for at least 3 days before using.
