Garang Asem Pekalongan (Jawa Tengah)
stewed spiced vegetables with eggs

100 gr shrimps, peeled
100 gr kacang tolo, cooked, otherwise eye beans
100 gr long/snake beans
2 carrots
5 cabbage leaves
2 belimbing wuluh
12 quail eggs, boiled and peeled
3 tbsp asam water
2 salam leaf
5 cm lengkuas/laos/galangal
1 serai/sereh/lemon grass
3 jeruk purut leaves
1000ml water
3 tbsp oil

7 shallots
5 cloves of garlic
4 red lomboks
6 cm kunyit/turmeric
1 tsp terasi/trasi
2 tsp ketumbar
2 tsp palm sugar
2 tsp salt

Cara membuat:
Cut the long beans into pieces. Cut the carrot into cubes/slices. Cut the cabbage leaves into pieces and the belimbing into thin slices. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste.
Heat the oil in a pan and fry the bumbu together with the salam, the serai, the lengkuas and the jeruk purut for 5 minutes. Then add the shrimp and fry them until they change color. Then add the water and bring to a boil.
Then add the beans, the long beans, the cabbage leaves, the belimbing, the eggs and the asam water and cook until done. serve.
