stew with nangka / jackfruit

750 gr nangka / jackfruit
1250 ml coconut milk
1 star anise
2 cardamom pods
2 salam leaves
25g grated coconut
2 asam kandis
1 1/2 tsp salt
3 tablespoons oil
9 red chilies
3 red rawits
6 shallots
4 cloves garlic
4 kemiri/candle nuts
2 cm laos
2 cm jahe
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Cara membuat:
Cut the jackfruit into pieces. Roast the coconut dry in a pan and mash it. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu fine into a paste. Heat in a pan the oil and fry the paste with the star anise, the cardamom and the salam for 5 minutes. Add the jackfruit, the salt, the asem kandis and coconut milk and bring to a boil. Add the coconut puree and gently simmer until done.
