Ikan Kuah Belimbing

Bahan-bahan:
ingredients:
600 gr mackerel
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp lime juice
750ml water
3 cm jahe
3 serai/sereh/lemon grass, white part
8 jeruk purut leaves
2 spring onions
6 belimbing sayur / starfruit
Haluskan:
bumbu:
5 shallots
4 cloves of garlic
6 red cabai keriting (curly cayenne pepper)
2 cm kunyit
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp salt
1 tsp palm sugar
Cara membuat:
preparation:
Cut the fish into four slices. Finely chop the spring onion. Cut the belimbing in half lengthwise. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste. Rub the fish with the salt and lime juice and set aside.
Heat in a pan the water together with the bumbu, the jahe, the serai and the jeruk purut and bring it to a boil. Then over low heat and covered let it simmer for 5 minutes.
Then add the fish and cook it over low heat until done. Then add the spring onion and the belimbing and bring it to the boil. serve.
