Garang Asem Ikan Tenggiri
(Spanish) mackerel in a spicy and sour sauce

700 gr ikan Tenggiri - 6 (Spanish) mackerel steaks
1 lime, juice
1 tsp salt
2 tablespoons oil
2 salam leaves
3 green tomatoes
750ml coconut milk
1 tablespoon salt
1/2 tbsp palm sugar
1 tbsp asemwater
4 red chilies
4 red rawits
7 shallots
4 cloves garlic
3cm kencur
3cm kunyit
2cm jahe
2 cm laos
Cara membuat:
Marinate the fish with the lime juice and salt for 20 minutes. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu fine into a paste and chop the tomatoes finely.
Heat in a pan the oil and fry the paste, the salam and the tomatoes for 3 minutes. Add the coconut milk and bring to a boil. Add the fish, the salt, the palm sugar and asemwater and let it simmer slowly for 15 minutes until the fish is cooked and the sauce has thickened.
