Asam Padeh Gadang
stewed seasoned beef from Padang

1000 gr of beef, round/sirloin
1000 ml of water
1 serai / sereh / lemongrass
1 kunyit leaf
3 jeruk purut leaves
2 salam leaf
2 tsp salt
3 asam kandis
2 cm lengkuas / galangal
5 tbsp oil

11 shallots
6 cloves of garlic
15 red lomboks
3 kemiri nuts
3 cm jahe
2 cm kunyit

Cara membuat:
Cut the meat into pieces. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the bumbu for 7 minutes.
Heat in a pan the water together with the meat, the bumbu, the serai, the kunyit leaf, the jeruk purut, the salam, the salt, the asam kandis and the laos and bring to the boil.
Then continue to cook gently on low heat until the meat is done and the sauce is thickened.
