Banana/plantain in a palmsugar drink
1000 ml of water
125 g of palm sugar
2 pandan leaves, knotted
3 cm cinnamon stick
6 pisang kepok, saba banana (or some small bananas)
Cut the peeled bananas into 3 cm long pieces. Heat in a pan the water together with the palm sugar, cinnamon, cloves and pandan leaves and cook until the sugar is dissolved. Let it simmer for a further 5 minutes. Add the bananas and bring to the boil. When the bananas softens and changes color, then serve.
