Rabeg Daging
seasoned braised beef

300 gr beef
800ml water
1 serai/sereh/lemon grass
2 jeruk purut leaves
7 cm cinnamon
2 cardamom
7 cm jahe/ginger
5 tbsp kecap manis
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp palm sugar
3 tbsp oil

4 shallots
4 cloves of garlic
4 cm jahe
1/4 nutmeg
1/2 tsp ketumbar
1/2 tsp caraway seeds

Cara membuat:
Cut the meat into pieces. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste. Heat in a pan the water together with the meat, the serai and the jeruk purut and cook the meat until tender. Strain the broth
Heat the oil in a pan and fry the bumbu together with the cinnamon, the jahe and the cardamon for 5 minutes. Then add the meat and mix well. Then add 500 ml stock or water, the kecap, the pepper, the salt and the palm sugar and cook until the sauce has thickened. serve.
