Ayam Woku Manado
chicken stew from Manado

1 chicken
1 tsp lime juice
1200 ml of water
6 jeruk purut
3 pandan leaf
1 kunyit leaf
1 tomato
1 bunch kemangi
3 spring onions
10 kemiri/candlenuts
9 shallots
5 red chillies/bird's eye
2 cm kunyit
2 cm jahe
2 tsp salt
1 tsp palmsugar
2 sereh stalks
Cara membuat:
Cut the chicken into 12 pieces and finely chop the tomato. Cut the pandan and kunyit into pieces. Marinate the chicken with the lime juice and let it rest for 15 minutes. Pound or grind the ingredients for the bumbu into a paste.
Heat in a pan the water with the bumbu, the jeruk purut, the pandan leaf, kunyit and the tomato and bring to a boil. Add the chicken and cook until tender. Add the kemangi leaves and mix well and serve.
